The Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) was established to provide the highest possible standards of legal services to the Secretariat and to the organs and bodies of the Agency, as well as to Member States, regarding the implementation of Agency's activities.

OLA reports directly to the Director General.

The three Sections of OLA are:
